As a talented Chicago artist for many years Alex has obtained numerous awards including Best of show and the award of Excellence to name a few. All of the work is created on linen, which has been primed and sanded with three coats of Frumbacher Gesso. Each primed linen is then stretched over bars. The works are then created using multiple layers of Gamblin oil paint and glazing medium to create his final piece. Residing in Chicago, Alex has been involved in and also currently showcases in many shows and expositions throughout Illinois.
