Zsofia Otvos

Zsofia is a Hungarian citizen living and working in the United States. While receiving her training with an emphasis on figure drawing and sculpting from Rita Kopek's studio in Hungary, an art-scholarship brought Zsofia to North Central College in Naperville, IL in 1994. Here is where she continued to earn her BA degree in art and theater in 1997. During that time, she began to study fiber art at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago.

Since 1997, Zsofia has stated "I have recognized my "mission" as an artist and directed my focus to painting." A talent she brings to us here at amata.

Many works by Zsofia have been showing not only here at amata but also in Hungary, France, and Italy.
