Ron Bockstahler does not consider himself a serial entrepreneur, yet he has started 7 different companies all of which turned profitable. He has worked with attorneys for more than 24 years, helping create more efficient office operations. As Director of Operations for a large outsourcing firm, he oversaw more than 2,500 employees and managed back office operations for such law firms as Sidley Austin, LLP, Chapman & Cutler and Meckler Bulger & Tilson. Today Ron works with more than 800 solo or small firm attorneys, assisting them with the often forgotten part of the profit equation, expenses.
In 2002 Ron resigned from his executive position to venture out on his own, putting his business skills to the test and never looking back. His first venture was a printing company where his largest client was the American Bar Association. From there, he began opening shared office centers and law office spaces as Amata Office Solutions, specializing in the needs of attorneys. In 2009, Ron launched a commercial real estate company that specializes in locating and negotiating leased space for law firms.
Along the way, the ebb and flow of the economy led to unforeseen adjustments to maintain profitability. Ron openly shares with his clients the lessons he has learned to assist them in finding the perfect balance building revenue and controlling expenses. Ron has written articles for Attorney at Law Magazine, Crain’s Chicago Business, and The Huffington Post, and is often providing tips on Amata Blog and through aLawCenters.com articles.
